We actively encourage University Departmental and Business Managers to purchase electric fleet vehicles whenever possible.

The University continues to increase the electric vehicles in its fleet. The number is expected to rise as a wider range of electric options becomes available. 

Please get in touch if you would like to know more about how electric fleet vehicles could benefit your department.

We can advise you on: the most suitable vehicle for your operational requirements, how to gain funding through the Green Travel Fund. 

We can provide funding of up to 

• £10,000 to bridge the gap in lease/purchase costs between the electric vehicle and its
• diesel/petrol equivalent.  

Electric Vehicle Charging Points (EVCPs) 

If you work for the University, you can also apply for funding from the Green Travel Fund towards the supply and installation costs of EVCPs for operational fleet vehicles.
